Baha'i prayer beads, 19 and 5, prayer bead strand, silver tone, black glass and Cherry Quartz beads, handmade tassel, owl charm, 5 and 19

These Baha'i prayer beads are the 19 and 5 long style.

All findings and charms in this set of prayer beads are silver toned metal.

The beads are hand-wired on eye pins using my trusty little looper tool.

The 19 smaller beads are 8mm round black glass beads with white speckles.

The 5 large counter beads are cherry quartz and are about half an inch long.
Cherry quartz is quartz or glass that has been reconstituted from powder and is dyed).

This prayer bead strand has a silver-toned metal owl charm on one end.

The other end has a silver-toned chain tassel.

This set of prayer beads is about 18 inches long from the charm to end of the tassel.

Cherry Quartz are man-made tumbled glass stones (aka Hydro Quartz). It is made from glass melted in a furnace then combined with a coloring agent, and natural Rose Quartz Powder, to produce the swirling inclusions or "needles" that give it its unique look.

All prayer beads will come in a small organza bag for safe storage.

The Baha'i faith was founded in the mid-1800's by a Persian holy man named Baha'u'llah. Persons of Baha'i faith recite Allah-u-Abha, a form of God's name, 95 times a day. Baha'i prayer beads consist of some factor of 95. The 19 beads, when counted 5 times, make 95. The smaller 19 beads count the recitation of God's name and the larger 5 beads keep track of the number of repetitions of the 19.
The spacer beads are decorative and are not counted.
