Orthodox Chotki, prayer beads, silver tone, pink Malay jade beads, purple Sea Sediment Jasper beads, pocket or bracelet Chotki, Komboskini

This is a new style of Eastern Orthodox Chotki.

It is made just like my other Chotkis are, but without a crucifix.

These are called pocket Chotki or bracelet Chotki.

This Chotki is made with pink Malay Jade and Purple Sea Sediment Jasper gemstone beads.

Chotki, sometimes also known as Komboskini, are used in Eastern Orthodox Christianity.

Most Komboskini are made with wool and are knotted.

These Chotki are a more modern variation and are hand wired like rosaries.

This set is hand-wired using eye pins and my trusty little looper tool.

This is not store-bought rosary chain.

This Chotki has 3 sets of 11 beads separated by 3 larger beads.

The smaller beads are 8mm pink Malay Jade beads.

The large beads are 10mm Purple Sea Sediment Jasper gemstone beads. (Dyed)

The eye pins in this set of beads are silver toned metal.

All findings and crucifixes are plated base metal and are nickel, lead, and arsenic free.

This set of prayer beads is 10 inches long from the center top of the loop to the bottom of the crucifix.

Silver, gold, copper, brass, or gunmetal toned metal can be used. Stainless steel findings are also now available.

Many more bead and glass pearl choices are available.

Gemstones and Sterling Silver findings and crucifixes are also an option but will require longer to ship.

Malay Jade (Quartzite) Legend - Often called Malay Jade but not a true Jade it is actually dyed Quartzite. Quartzites are formed through the metamorphism of quartz-rich sandstones. They are formed mostly of the mineral quartz. These Malay Jade beads are dyed attractive colors.

Sea Sediment Jasper is only one of the names for this absolutely gorgeous stone that is also referred to as : "Aqua Terra Jasper" (the blue & green colors), "Impression Jasper" (for it does make quite the impression), "Snakeskin Jasper", as well as "Variscite" and "Regalite". This stone has proven to be somewhat of a mystery. We know that it is a natural jasper material from Africa that has a somewhat jelly-like luster resembling Natural Turquoise.
