This laser-cut raven brooch is fun, unique, and a little weird.
Like me.
The woodcut raven sits on top of a black 30x40mm bezel setting. It's secured with strong jewelry adhesive.
The woodcut itself was made by affixing a photo to thin plywood and then cutting it out with a laser cutter. Note that I did not make the laser cuts. I just assemble them into jewelry.
The raven was sealed with two coats of clear Mod Podge.
On top of the raven is a large cream acrylic Dahlia.
On the back, I have added a long pin bar with a safety catch.
This brooch can be worn upright or upside down. I like the upside-down "dead raven" myself.
Either way, it's sure to get comments.
Since the laser-cut raven is paper on wood, I would suggest not getting it wet. It is sealed, but why take chances?
