This gorgeous laser-cut Death's Head moth brooch or pin is certainly a real eye-opener!
It features a large laser-cut wooden Death's Head moth on a gold-toned metal stamping.
The metal stamping was glued to the back of the moth cutout using strong jewelry adhesive.
I then added a long pin bar with a safety clasp.
You may recognize the moth from the movie Silence of the Lambs.
There is an actual moth called the Death's Head. It's a type of Hawk moth and gets its name from the pattern on its head, which resembles a skull.

The laser-cut moth was made by affixing a photo or picture of the moth to thin plywood and then cutting it out with a laser cutter.
Note. I do not make the laser cuts. I just assemble the jewelry.
I did seal the moth with two coats of gloss Mod Podge sealer on front and back.
Since this cutout is paper on wood, I would suggest not getting it wet.
