These unique brooches are made with cruelty-free real Tegu shed skins and are sure to be a real conversation piece.
These pendants are made with metal bezel settings with a 40x30mm tray. The reptile shed was trimmed to fit the frame and a colored piece of cardstock was placed underneath the skin. A domed clear glass cabochon was placed on top of the skin and the edges were sealed with diamond glaze. The glaze dries clear and hardens like resin.
Some have built-in pin-backs. For the others, I have added a pin back using E6000 jewelry adhesive.
