These unique brooches are made with cruelty-free real snake shed skins and are sure to be a real conversation piece.

No snakes were harmed. Snakes periodically shed their old skin as they grow. I always hated to just throw the sheds away.

These pendants are made with metal bezel settings with a 40x30mm tray. The snake shed was trimmed to fit the frame and a colored piece of cardstock was placed underneath the skin. A domed clear glass cabochon was placed on top of the skin and the edges were sealed with diamond glaze. The glaze dries clear and hardens like resin.

Some of these brooch settings have built-in pin-backs. For the ones that don't, I added a pin back with E6000 jewelry adhesive.
